Just days away from Memorial Day, we at the CCNS lost one of our members, a great man, as any of us will tell you. That’s Capt. Larry W. Bailey, USN Retired.
He spent nearly 27 years as a Navy SEAL. He commanded Naval Special Warfare Center (BUDS), where all SEALs are trained, for three years and retired in 1990 from the U.S. Special Operations Command in Tampa, FL.
Bailey was with us from the start in 2013 as the Citizens Commission on Benghazi, Larry, with his southern drawl, was a renaissance man, and could speak profoundly about history, religion and politics. He also had a very low tolerance for ‘stolen valor,’ people who made claims about their military service that weren’t true.
