When David Koch passed away tragically from prostate cancer, the ugliness and incivility of the progressive socialist left was clear and evident. Even publicly, on cable shows, they said the most heinous and vile things about a man who had done nothing other than support Libertarian and conservative causes. There was nothing said about David Koch’s philanthropy with so many charitable organizations . . . just the vitriol that has come to define the darkness that is the left in America.
When you think about it, this whole thing about “dark money” in politics is owned by the progressive socialist left, as WSJ editorial writer Kimberley Strassel so eloquently articulated in a recent piece.
The biggest political donors in America are not aligned with constitutional conservatives . . . Heck, just ask Sen. Ted Cruz how Robert Francis O’Rourke got $80M in campaign donations? No, the biggest political donors are leftists — Hollywood, media, academia, Bloomberg, Steyer, Buffet, Gates, Zuckerberg, Silicon Valley, and the infamous Nazi collaborator, George Soros. Now, if and when George Soros passes from this earth, I will not utter a hateful word. But, I just gotta say, that is one ugly mutha . . . That ain’t hateful, it is just plain truth. That man could have played the evil villain, the Emperor, from Star Wars.
Soros is a renowned leftist financier, and at a time when the left is giddy about calling conservatives “neo-nazis,” Soros was actually pals with Nazis. To the point of collaborating with Nazis against his own people. Swell guy huh? So, now this Hungarian Jew comes to America, and guess what he does here? Collaborates against the American people.
Now, I have no issue with anyone’s freedom of political expression, albeit the left doesn’t see it that way. But at some point, simple political expression takes a different turn, sedition, treason, when one’s stated objective is to undermine our existence as a Constitutional Republic.
Let’s be honest: when the left talks about “fundamental transformation” of America, turning Texas “blue,” or as Bernie Sanders yelps, it is “time for a revolution,” what does this all mean?
As reported by the Washington Free Beacon:
“Liberal billionaire George Soros’s advocacy organizations are lobbying lawmakers on Capitol Hill to repeal an act protecting firearms manufacturers from liability for gun crimes including murder, disclosure forms show. The Open Society Policy Center is Soros’s D.C.-based 501(c)4 nonprofit that works on domestic and international advocacy and is affiliated with the much larger Open Society Foundations. The center has poured nearly $9 million into lobbying a range of issues so far this year.
Soros’s group reported spending $2.6 million on lobbying throughout the first quarter, covering international, military, and appropriations issues. In addition, the center moved into gun control advocacy and reported lobbying on “issues related to a bill to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act.”
The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) was passed as a bulwark against frivolous lawsuits attempting to hold gun companies responsible for criminal acts committed by third parties—sometimes decades after the first legal sale of the firearm.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the gun industry’s trade group, pushed to pass the bill in 2005. The group said the legal protections are necessary to keep gun control activists from bankrupting the industry through suits they believe have no legal standing.
The PLCAA does not shield the firearms industry from traditional liability. Firearms companies can be sued for making or selling defective products. Remington recently settled a class-action suit related to defective triggers in their 700 bolt-action rifle. Instead, the PLCAA protects gun companies from being held liable “for the harm solely caused by the criminal or unlawful misuse of firearm products or ammunition products by others when the product functioned as designed and intended.”
Soros’s center reported $5.92 million in expenditures throughout the second quarter, which included lobbying the House of Representatives and Senate for the Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act. The Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act was introduced in the House by Rep. Adam Schiff (D., Calif.) and seeks to “repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, and provide for the discoverability and admissibility of gun trace information in civil proceedings.”
Schiff previously appeared at a secretive gathering of Democracy Alliance, the left’s largest donor club cofounded by Soros, in D.C. last November. He gave the group a closed-door briefing, the Free Beacon reported. The president of Democracy Alliance, Gara LaMarche, was previously the director of Soros’s lobbying outfit and now sits on its board of directors.”
So, pay attention to this effort by the leftist controlled US House of Representatives as they return to Capitol Hill this week. This absurdity sponsored by ol’ crazy eyes, Rep. Adam Schiff, is no different from the Gun Violence Tax of the City of Seattle which basically ran every single gun store from their city limits.
Now, ask yourselves: if a criminal were to use a vehicle made by Ford or Chevy as a means to flee the scene of a crime, does the government go after the automobile maker? If a murderer bludgeons someone to death with a hammer, do we take legal actions against Ace Hardware, or the tool industry?
I am waiting for some of our delusional leftist trolls to explain these actions to me, funded by Soros, and proposed by Schiff? Tell me y’all how is this any different from the British on April 19, 1775, marching towards Concord, Massachusetts to destroy a firearms manufacturing site? The grand endeavor of the British then, just as with the tyrants of the progressive socialist left today, is the same: disarm law-abiding, liberty-loving Americans.
As Rahm Emanuel stated, “never let a good crisis go to waste,” so why not leverage mass shootings by deranged individuals as a means to implement gun control?
I have a question: if the left’s logic is that the gun manufacturing industry is responsible for the violent acts of criminals, then when agencies fail to update NICS records, or when school officials do not report the violent behaviors of students, what is the consequence for them? I mean, when one thinks about 45 call-outs to the home of the Parkland shooter or the lack of reporting the Parkland shooter’s violent behaviors and expulsion from high school, due to the Obama “Promise Program,” then who is held responsible there?
Heck, the FBI was tracking two Islamic jihadists from Arizona but failed to alert local law enforcement here in Garland, Texas, where I live. Who is responsible there?
Look, I have no issue with advocating for your political issue. But when you are lobbying, advocating for legislation that seeks to undermine a Constitutional right, then I have an issue.
Like I said: George Soros reminds me of the Sith Order in Star Wars. Indeed, just as Marianne Williamson has stated, there is a dark force in our United States of America. People like Soros are funding it, for simple reasons: power and control.
