Greetings, everyone, from the beautiful secluded island of Cayman Brac. Yes, even I need a little R&R. I am here with the Dive Pirates Foundation, on which I serve as a board member. The Dive Pirates is a special and unique diving organization focused on training amputees and spinal cord injured individuals adaptive diving techniques, along with a designated partner. It is a worthy and noble cause that enables those who may seem to have a disability, to enjoy God’s splendor underneath the seas with their ability. However, before I headed out on Sunday morning, I had to pen these thoughts.
Recently, the Department of Justice Inspector General released his 600-page report detailing issues within the Federal Bureau of Investigation in reference to the Hillary Clinton e-mail investigation. Folks have been using the wrong language to describe the crimes committed by Mrs. Clinton. This was not an email investigation. It was an investigation into unauthorized use of an unsecure email server, along with the destruction of classified material. But I digress. The title of this missive is not one of hyperbole, or “click bait.” It is one that should cause us all to pause and ponder what you are about to read.
Mr. Horowitz’s report is far more telling that anyone seems to understand. It does, in its true explanations, lend itself to a revelation that our United States of America is beginning to model the former Soviet Union, Russia, more than we want to believe or accept. What Mr. Horowitz’s report unveils is that we truly have devolved into a Soviet-style Politburo, where there is an unseen cut line, a barrier, that separates one group from another. This separation had been, and is being, determined by political and media elites, resulting in two very different systems of responsibility, accountability, and justice. We watch a certain judge, appointed by a certain President, order one person, Paul Manafort off to jail, revoking his bail. Then we witness someone like former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe allegedly make false statements – and nothing.
Ours is supposed to be a constitutional republic, and we are supposed to have three coequal branches of government maintained by a separation of powers. But what Mr. Horowitz’s report uncovers is that we have a branch of the federal government, the executive branch, that appears to be off the rails. What we have in America – very similar to what happened in the old Soviet Union – is a government that has been weaponized against the American people, its citizens. Of course, there are the political partisan detractors who will dismiss what is being stated here. But anyone with a hint of intellectual honesty must agree. Shall we discuss the most feared federal government agency, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and what they did to constitutional conservative grassroots organizations? Has anyone seen or heard from Lois Lerner lately? Or how about that botched Department of Justice thing called Operation Fast and Furious? No, I’m not referring to the movie with the Rock and Vin Diesel – but the secret DOJ operation that resulted in the death of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent, Brian Terry.
Why is it that certain people seem to have a “get-out-of-jail-free card” and others do not? And why do these statements of permission seem to have an overwhelming partisan leaning – a leaning that often tends towards the progressive, socialist left.
I would have never believed that a president of these United States, and a Secretary of State, could abandon Americans to die in a combat zone with Islamic jihadists, the enemy, and then lie about it. Not to mention that one could be reelected to the presidency, while the other then ran as a successor in the same political party for president. That should not have been a partisan issue, but in the new American Politburo, justice is not blind. It is not objective. It does not assess the facts. No, we are diving into tumultuous seas where justice is subjectively defined from a partisan, political perspective.
Not only do we have a burgeoning bifurcated system of justice, we also now have in America secret courts. Yes, we have secret courts that operate above and outside of our individual constitutional rights – you know, the pesky Fourth Amendment: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath of affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” Well, that only works if you are not an enemy of the deep state of the federal bureaucracy that has grown completely out of control. How did we get to the point where a politicized “dossier” could be used in a secret court before a secret judge to attain permission to conduct surveillance on any American citizen? And said American citizen had not counsel, nor defense in this secret court before a secret judge. That, my fellow Americans, sounds more like an East Germany Stasi-type action—not the United States of America.
How is it possible that senior members of our Federal Bureau of Investigation could communicate about stopping the electoral will of the American people? Actually, the better question is, what makes them think they have the right or the power to do so?
Just recently, we have witnessed state legislatures passing laws to support free speech on college campuses and universities. Let me repeat that: state legislatures are passing laws to support the First Amendment on American college campuses and universities. Needless to say, I do not need to explain the political philosophy of those preventing free speech, the First Amendment, on our college and university campuses.
Perhaps you now see why the title to this missive is not hyperbolic. It is, rather, disconcerting. The evidence presented here is irrefutable, unless you are a progressive, socialist for whom truth is likened to sunlight. We do not need a Robert Mueller multi-million-dollar investigation. We do not need a DOJ Inspector General Mr. Horowitz’s report. The evidence, the truth, is right before our own eyes for us to accept. Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, and their ilk have indeed influenced and infiltrated into the greatest nation the world has ever known. There is collusion with the Russians. It is being perpetrated by those who embrace the exact same political philosophy of governance.
As Barack Obama said to then Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” Now, ask yourself, why the heck wasn’t a special investigation called then?
